The War on the Web War Fuels Student Activism

As a U.S.-led military effort against Iraq appears imminent, student groups for and against war are using the Internet to mobilize rallies, spread viewpoints and link up with like-minded organizations.

Supporting President Bush and the War

Students For War (www.studentsforwar.com and www.studentsforwar.org) describes itself as an ad-hoc committee to "build support across America for military action against the murderous regime of Iraq's Saddam Hussein." The group's home page has an online petition that the group plans to send to the White House. The site also features a message board forum, including a slew of posts in reaction to Bush's March 17 speech setting a 48-hour deadline for Hussein to leave Iraq.
