The American Public doesn't spend hours on FR like we do !

The American public watched the State of the Union Address. The American public knows Bush has been calling Iraq a threat for a while now, yet for some reason we are still crawling our way to a solution. This speech doesn't reassure the general public, it just tells them they're gonna have to wait for their safety to be secured.

That's my assumption too - we may know too much about these issues. Most people don't.
