(Vanity) Computer Help Needed
Me ^ | 2/25/03 | Me

I just purchased a new computer from Dell running Windows XP Home and I need help with an annoying issue that has come up.

When we first logged on we created four user accounts for myself, my wife and the kids with my wife and I both having administrator status. When I setup my ISP account I was logged in under my user account and all the information I put into both Explorer and Outlook (i.e., favorites, etc.), as well as all incoming e-mail was only accessible under my user account.

To make a long story short, we both use the same ISP and e-mail address and I need all the information and messages to appear under both my user account and my wife's. How do I do that? Is it an Explorer and Outlook issue, an ISP issue or an XP issue?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Your problem is that when you download your email, it is put into YOUR secure account on your computer... and then the email is erased from the server at your ISP or email provider. Your wife cannot see your email without access to your account. The solution is to have your ISP provide one more email address for your wife. She can logon to the ISP with your internet account... but then download HER email with her own email address and password. YOU can send her duplicates of any email she needs to see at her address by forwarding them from your account to her email address.
