Then find a different church.
P.S. The word is "clique."

I met my wife in a bar 34 years ago. Honestly, I don't think the odds favor success in encounters like that in this day and time.

Typing from experience. I once spelled that word "fiegn", and I never heard the end of it.

DooD, I can't help ya. When I was in college I had more women than I knew what to do with (actually, I knew exactly what to do with them.) But at that time I was an apolitical, hormonal, shallow, sex-obsessed mass of rippling muscles.
Now that I am a flabby middle-aged computer nerd that lives with cats, I have no women, but I mostly don't care anymore. They cost too much and are rarely worth the trouble.
Nevermind. I'm not helping. Ask someone else.

I would find a different church but I have been here 15 years, and it is the only one in my town..possibly state that is Calvinistic.

Tsk, tsk now, put your hormones away and stay focused :-)

Does anyone know why women end up dating guys who treat them badly or are unsuccessful?
Sad facts of life. Don't worry about them. They're no good anyway. I would have to guess that you're trying too hard & being too impatient. 20 year olds want everything now & think they've waited 20 years. It hasn't been that long. Slow down & enjoy life.
ps: women don't like the guys who chase them. See, Does anyone know why women end up dating guys who treat them badly or are unsuccessful?, above.

Do what interests you, what you feel passionate aboutAgreed, concentrate on becoming the best man you can possibly become and most of all don't lower your standards when it comes to the woman you want, but you may be surprised to find that what you want when you become that man will also change and that is when you'll find her.

I'm really not trying to be insulting here, but since you did ask. . . . . are you taking an interest in what interests THEM? People respond better (especially females) when you listen to them and take an interest. Have you read "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie? Great book. It's the basic manual on how to have good relationships.
Do you have any female friends? This is usually a good thing as it can help you get to know how women think (which can be scary) but may help with your situation.
Having said all that, I do agree that there are alot of loser guys dating nice girls. I'm not sure why this is, but the opposite is true, also, so there's some genetic defect in humans I think, not just females.
Are you too nice? Women like guys that have a little bit of spark to them, who aren't so polite they seem namby-pamby(not saying this is you, I'm just covering all the bases here). You don't have to be a jerk or anything but they usually respond to guys who have some vision or dreams for the future.
Don't give up hope. There are still plenty of good ones out there. I hear lots of women complaining about not meeting eligible bachlors, too.
Hope some of this helps. After reading the usual WOD posts, the Jesse Jackson latest protest posts, the posts about anti-war protestors, etc., yours was the most interesting discussion of the evening.

And you've been looking for a thread to use the correct spelling on since then?

Sign up for the freeper cruise in May, dude!
Some gorgeous, witty, fun, smart, shapely, creative, conservative, single lassies most assuredly will be on our ship. And they can't escape unless they're marathon swimmers.
Ah, who knows where tropical nights might lead?

No...no way!
There was a similar thread awhile back that was moved to The Backroom. Started off sweet, headed downhill fast.

Seriously, it sounds like the problem is that you're trying to date college women. Unless you're going to a Bible college, the kind of women you meet in that environment by and large have skulls full of vaguely leftist neo-feminist mush. As a man with conservative values and a record of actually accomplishing things, you're just not attractive to that demographic.
