AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 718) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | January 8, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 01/08/2003 4:43:04 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our fredom, die in vain!!

There is a new tact from the anti-war crowd in the news this morning. They are calling for bringing back the draft. Reps Charlie Rangel of New York and John Conyers of Michigan have two complaints: (1) the fighting force of the Nation is composed of too high a level of minorities; and (2) they believe the US would deal with Iraq peacefully if politicians knew their children would be the one's in harms way.

The Supreme Court of California has ruled that it is rape even if sex is started with the consent of both adults, but the female changes her mind after the act has actually started.

Charles Pickering has been renominated by the Bush Administration for a Federal Appellate judgeship.

And there are two new ad spots that has been designed by Arianna Huffington of the Detroit Group which suggests that SUV owners are supporting terrorists. From the New York Times:

"This is George," a girl's voice says of an oblivious man at a gas station. "This is the gas that George bought for his S.U.V." The screen then shows a map of the Middle East. "These are the countries where the executives bought the oil that made the gas that George bought for his S.U.V." The picture switches to a scene of armed terrorists in a desert. "And these are the terrorists who get money from those countries every time George fills up his S.U.V."

A second commercial depicts a series of ordinary Americans saying things like: "I helped hijack an airplane"; "I gave money to a terrorist training camp in a foreign country"; "What if I need to go off-road?"

At the close, the screen is filled with the words: "What is your S.U.V. doing to our national security?"

YET (!!!!), these are the very same folks that do not want us to expand our domestic sources of oil by drilling in ANWR. They should sit down and shut up, because they are hypocrites - each and every one of them. Why? Because it matters not what vehicle you drive, a portion of the fuel can be argued to have come from Saudi Arabia - so they are just as guilty following their line of reasoning.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

All is well here. I'm just a little wiped out from helping out at Maggie's house. I LOVE IT, though!

Good Morning LBKQ. How is the baby?

When the new front moves in, is it just bringing colder temperatures or snow? It was 70 in KS yesterday. Crazy weather.

Baby is doing fine. She seems pretty good natured so far. Daughter is a good Mommy, and s-i-l is awesome. He does everything. Maggie sleeps about 3 1/2 hours before she gets hungry. Doesn't seem to bother the kids too much......yet.

There is nothing in the world like a baby. Did I tell you my oldest daughter is having #4 in Aug? She has one son and 2 daughters. They are hoping this one is a son, but won't care either way. The youngest one turns two next month.
