orc is very gamey, with alotta gristle... make sure you got a couple'a ggod toothpicks handy...

temps in the upper 20's... the Chopawampsic is iced over... beautiful view of the sunrise from my window...

Sunrise brings it's golden glory
transforming grey skeletons to delicate webs of red
birds dancing over the frozen waters
in a frenzied ballet of flashing feathers
with frigid beauty contrasts my heart...

The broad empty sky,
lifeless, impassionate, cold
Like my life before... without...

She is the sunrise, that brings a new day,
moves the world from death to life
She is the sunrise that turns greys to gold,
makes warm what was cold,
new from what was old...

she still brings me joy...
She brings light to all around her,
a beautiful song that lifts the sad heart..

That's a cool and touching poem, where does it come from?

Reminds me of when I'm sitting freezing in a tree, waiting for the sun to touch me. Wonder why, though, it always gets even colder, or feels like it does, right after it starts to get light.

Beautiful poem, g'nad. I hereby dub thee Master Dwarf Poet.

She is the sunrise that turns greys to gold,
makes warm what was cold,
new from what was old...

She sounds just like mine, too...;^)

POETIC DWARVES fits nicely into the keywords....

It's a good poem, it expresses an emotion very clearly, which is what poetry is supposed to do, IMHO.

I wish I was as talented!
