You're kidding! They narc on you for weeds? Well, these are noxious weeds. And really bad news. Systemically toxic to livestock, which means, they have a lifetime limit that builds up in their body from eating it. Good news is horses hate it unless they have nothing else to eat, but it is still bad news. Cows love it, and it spreads easily.... I know I have to eliminate it, and I must say, they eradication is working, there is much less Tansy in the area than there was ten years ago. But jeepers! - I just noticed this plant yesterday! And it is in the place that was mowed last month.... That thing sprung up overnight and the chick busted me.

So what's the penalty? Do you have to pay a fine, or is it just a warning to cut it down ASAP or else?

Okay, here's the deal. It's a great insecticide. Make an infusion of it and put it anywhere you might have problem insects. If it grows around your house it repels flies, ants etc. It is poisonous to humans taken internally too but a very good skin wash.
I know it's a weed. But, it's also good for a couple of things. I had a pot of it last year for making insecticide with - but, it died.... I went away for a week and had a young girl watering but it dried out and died.
