Thank you! He is missed already. Its a little hard, but I love them, and wouldn't *not* have them. Wouldn't be home without them!

I know it's unheard of for anyone here to have not seen The Movie, but I can't abide the volume at my local theaters :(I know what you mean. It seems it has gotten much louder in the last few years, and the trailers seem even louder than the movies. I've had to sit with my fingers in my ears during the trailers the times I've seen TTT. There were times during TTT that I had to plug my ears, too! I need to get a good pair of ear plugs and start taking them to the movies with me!

a GI blanket party Uh, do we want to know what that is?

Oh Hair, I'm so sorry to hear about Logan. We've come to love your animals, too, as you've written about the way they brighten your life.
That poem just brought tears to my eyes thinking about the doggies I had growing up.

ROTFL!! Oh Hair, you need to get that picture with Logan, Zulu, and their 'catch' enlarged and framed. What a great way to remember your friends!
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh Hair, I'm so sorry about Logan! Hang in there, and enjoy those wonderful memories you have of him. I am so glad I got to meet him...

Good morning all!
2J, I'll try to send you some more cash by the end of the week.
I was wondering as well, McGuire Veteran's Hospital here in Richmond is expecting to receive casualties. I'm just a few minutes away. I don't want to take anything away from what 2J is doing so we would cover any costs (which would be minimal anyway). But I'd be willing to go and visit, or at least see what we can do, and do it on behalf of the Hobbit Hole.
I'd like to take Jr. as well. For one thing, he needs to have that experience. For another, the VA hospital in NC was very good to his grandpa.
We can hope and pray there is no need, but I'd like to be able to help if there is. I'll call the hospital later today and see if I can connect with someone.

Morning! We have sunshine and the promise of high 60s. Broke out some of the spring-ish clothes finally and am going to manufacture an excuse to go outside today...
To: HairOfTheDog
He was a good dog! Oh, Hair! I know you knew this was coming sometime soon, but it's never easy. My gosh, it's hard to let them go!
Your post is a beautiful tribute. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Give Zulu a hug for me...this isn't going to be easy for her, is it?

Uruk-Hai Unhappy with Portrayal in FilmsLoved this article! I'll have to print it out to show a couple of my younger siblings...they'd get a kick out of it.

Good Morning!
Sunny with highs in the 70's today. Think I'll play in the yard when I get home.
Her Majesty is liking this weather.

Good morning! Supposed to be in the mid sixties today...woo-hoo! Still snow on the ground, though, and the ground is pretty well frozen...or muddy. So no gardening type stuff yet. But it's warm enough that I can start thinking about it, which is nice!
My dog is delighted. However, I've been pretty down with this cold / flu thing and haven't really taken her for any walks. And it's supposed to rain tonight, which she HATES! Poor baby...

Morning you guys. A little chilly this morning, but sunny.

Morning Hair, I'm very sorry to hear that Logan had to be put down yesterday. He looks just like the dog I had to put down last year. I know what you are going through.
It's tough, but you did the right thing.
Here's a gift from my family to you: *HUGS!*

Thank you guys! Hullo! - Good morning!
It was a little different last night. Gidget got to sleep right next to me, usually Logan got that spot first and she had to find some other spot.
Gidget sniffed all over Logan's grave and when I called her in, she skulked over with her head down, like she does when she thinks she is in trouble. Not sure how to read her understanding of what has happened. I know they know smells. Zulu has been sleeping a lot the last few days, and hasn't reacted differently in any way I can read.
The night would have been somber *but for* the little monster that insisted on sleeping on my face! When my big kitty sleeps on me it is very soothing, a slow humming purr and a bearing weight that calms me.
The little monster is like sleeping with a vibrating sander!

Good Morning, Hair!
That cute little kitty can't be a monster!
Poor Gidget! It'll take her a while to get over it. My sister's cat (who's a calico) spent some time in mourning when my parents passed away. She'd roam the house looking for them.

A little chilly this morning, but sunny. What Sam? Down in the low 80s again? ;-)
