I was wondering as well, McGuire Veteran's Hospital here in Richmond is expecting to receive casualties. I'm just a few minutes away. I don't want to take anything away from what 2J is doing so we would cover any costs (which would be minimal anyway). But I'd be willing to go and visit, or at least see what we can do, and do it on behalf of the Hobbit Hole.
I'd like to take Jr. as well. For one thing, he needs to have that experience. For another, the VA hospital in NC was very good to his grandpa.
We can hope and pray there is no need, but I'd like to be able to help if there is. I'll call the hospital later today and see if I can connect with someone.
That would be great, Corin! If your VA receives some of the casualties of this war, they'll probably be young men, not that much older than Jr. Could be a very good experience for him.
If you see a need for these guys that we can help fill, pass the word along. No reason we can't do a little of both!
