Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Lite dusting of snow this a.mWe had a quick flurry the other night, but have not had any large snowfalls since New Years. That's OK, we got over 14" on Christmas, then another 8" around New Years. It still covers everything! We had a low of about 5 degress last night; OUCH! That's way too cold for this Southern gal!!
Hope things are going better for Jr.; school problems are tough!!

You won't have time to stop at the Lothlorien-Mart on your way... Wheee- that's got me laughing! LOL!
To: 300winmag
I I will have my warm raincoat with me, but unless we have the most abrupt ice age in the history of the planet, I shouldn't need the snowshoes!
Thanks! See y'all later!

Take your Lembas and a pocket handkerchief. Good luck and have fun!

Yeah, duct tape is great stuff - never go to sea without it, it repairs all kins of things. Once used a roll of it to lash an oar to one of the outboards on my 22 foot fishing boat, when the steering gave way fifteen miles from the dock.

I liked the styles they had a few years back a little better - the more Western things, vests and such. They tend to issue a catalog once a year with their western stuff; I think it is called "Spirit of the West". I'd just check their website from time to time so see what's available.

Hobbits in the general vicinity of Seattle?
I'd say hobbits would have liked lattes, if they had existed in the Shire. Surely!
To: Argh
What kind of a weirdo hobbit drinks latte, Miss Hair? Well now she can't really be driving with the Old Gaffer's Brew in her go cup, can she?
To: Argh; HairOfTheDog
What kind of a weirdo hobbit drinks latte, Miss Hair? I think that would be one of those Seattle Hobbit idiosyncrasies.

I prefer "Imelda the Frugal", although Imelda wouldn't have had sizes that graduate upImelda also would NOT have been buying for someone else!! She would have bought 11 pairs for HERSELF!
