The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, it actually just came down to this...
After I laid them all out, it just happens that Joshua has a pair of white size 10 (add that to the pair of reds he already has), a pair of red, size 10.5, a pair of white, size 11, a pair of red and a pair of white, size 12.
Now Matthew currently has 2 pair of reds already, one is 13 (current pair) and a pair of 13.5. I got him a pair of 13 whites, a pair of 13.5 whites (making a pair of each color!) and a red pair size ONE!
So Joshua has (including Matthew's hand-me-downs) just about 2 pairs in both colors all the way up to size one!
That leaves me with three pairs of size 13 whites (13.5 girls) that I don't need. They are new in box, so I bet I can sell 'em on ebay without any problem.

Hullo and good evening! It is snowing too hard for choir tonight so I am here!
I had my first class last night, my religion course. I'm a little anxious about the subject material - several movies "about" Christ - but I managed to get two acquaintances on my team to do research, and I like this professor.

You know before Christmas they all compiled a list of questions to ask your children at the dinner table. Each mom contributed one question. They didn't put mine in...but I wasn't surprised. All the questions were deep and meaningful. Mine was "What channel should we put it on?" Trust me, you will have a better relationship with your kids than your "friends". I know mothers like that, and they result in priggish little kids who don't understand the concept of relaxing and having fun.
Then again, we have so many people eating that anything beyond "Pass the potatoes" would just overwhelm us..

Hullo Snowed in!
Are you familiar with the movies they are gonna play in class?
My friend gave me the "Minority Report" DVD today... said he had bought it, watched 10 minutes, and hated it. I haven't seen it yet, so I will probably watch it tonight.
To: Wneighbor
You are sickish eh? - Yuck.... boy have I had a lucky winter so far! - No sicknesses! (knock on wood!)
Have some soup! I hope you will be better before morning!
To: HairOfTheDog
Ergh. Well, the best of them is probably some movie in Italian, and the others range from "Godspell" to "Life of Brian" to - and here's the really bad one - "Last Temptation of Christ". Not looking forward to that at all.

Steve was very pleased. It was a financial blow to us, $77 is still a lot of money...but it'll pay off over the long run when we don't have to fork out even $25 for sneakers! They are set for years with everyday shoes!
Besides, Steve is very "Buy USA" so the fact that these were American-made was a big plus.
And if I get even $15 a pair for the ones I sell on eBay, I'll have done even better! And the person will have a $39 pair of shoes for about $20 including shipping.
To: JenB
Sounds like a good time for it!
To: 2Jedismom
Well, good. Glad to hear you are not in nine kinds of trouble!
To: HairOfTheDog
Gotta go to my meeting!
See you all later.

"I know mothers like that, and they result in priggish little kids who don't understand the concept of relaxing and having fun."
That comment makes me kind of happy, JenB, I believe you are exactly right.

We liked Minority Report, thought it was a nicely done movie...'course Tom Cruise is supposed to be in France, I think...
Yesterday, Paul Harvey, who is a huge conservative, featured Tom Cruise (apparently, formerly "Cruz," which I like better) on "The Rest of the Story." He had some nice and touching things to say about Cruise, which is (slightly) reassuring.

I am pretty happy that the dwarves (and JenB) are back. They bring back a very welcome (in) sanity to the "Hole." Everything is starting to feel right again.
Well, going to get a shower now.
