The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My husband and I just got back from the theatre. No, we didn't see TTT - it was sold out!!!! I'm going to the 10:30 show ALONE! I DON'T CARE! I've waited too long for this movie! My husband has to be up at 4:30 in the morning. I have an extra ticket for anybody in the Indiana, PA area! LOL!
To: LadyDoc
I'll post then again in two weeks, when they go onto their permenant links. Very good! - Maybe by then we can focus on them when we have talked our hearts out about seeing the movie and all this excitement!

ARGH!!! SOLD OUT! The 6,7 and 8pm shows! All sold out at 2 cinemas!
To: sneakers
Can you believe this???
I'm thrilled it's doing so well...but I should have called and got my tickets earlier today.
To: HairOfTheDog
Hair, you should post the Yahoo Hobbit Hole post...

Same here! Who'da thunk it?! I'm glad it's going well too. Now we have fans that have read the books AND saw the movie, plus fans that didn't read the books but saw the first movie and loved it. (And hopefully read the books as a result!) I hope this movie blows the other 2002 movies away! (To me, personally, it already does!)

... just got back from the ceremony...Oh that's right, you said the party was Wed. night!! I have been confused all day about what day it is; you'd think I wouldn't be, but we're going to see the movie tomorrow, instead of today, so maybe that's why.

How tragic! Your shows are sold out?!
I could feel pretty smug that I paid for my first two views a week ago!

The first thing that struck me was the sheer human emotion that was expressed. From Theoden mourning at his son's grave, to husbands, fathers and sons saying goodbye to their families in the caves behind Helm's Deep. Sir SuziQ went to see it today with a group from his work. His comment was that despite all the animals, creatures, and scenery, this was the most HUMAN movie he'd ever seen.
We're going to see it tomorrow when the two older boys are home from college. #1 son is seeing it tonight with some friends at school, so there will be 4 of us who haven't yet seen it!

You are so smart! "SMRT"

I actually have not checked on whether it is sold out or not. I haven't even decided if I want to try and go again tonight. I already have tickets to see it tomorrow night too.

Oh well. I popped myself some corn and I'm listening to the soundtrack. I thought about watching FOTR but just wanted TTT soooo bad!

I liked Haldir too. and the hug. Haldir needed a good hug! Why did he say he was sent by Elrond rather than Galadriel do you suppose? - I have to see again his reasoning behind the elves coming to aid. It whizzed by at the same break-neck pace as the rest of it. Or maybe I don't understand elf heirarchy... or the scene where Elrond and Galadriel appear to be talking.

You are so smart! "SMRT"LOL...great Simpsons reference there, 2JM...thanks for the giggle!

Well, I have burned up my chance for a nap just getting caught up here! - Need to feed horses and get ready to go to the movie now!
I am not going to worry too much about going really early... It won't be that hard to find a single seat in the back I hope, even if it is sold out.

I saw a midnight showing of TTT last night. Awesome! Amazing! Wonderful CGI Gollum easily steals several scenes! Massive battle scenes! Dwarf jokes! Gonna see it again tonight. Dittos on all that! - I am leaving in a bit!

ARGH!!! SOLD OUT!
Excuse me, I never sold out, I just bent my "principles" a little...
Hi Hair! I'm glad it went well. I read Ebert's review. the guy writes like a putz.
I think you should go again.
