Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I have a pretty good idea that Mr. Sloan, Esq. is going to be brought into the picture pretty soon. [sigh]

And I have a feeling our neighbor can ~talk~ about putting in a septic system uphill all he wants.... Physics, geology, chemistry, legality and probably psychology will probably prevent it.

Have you noticed that this last month, after Grama's death and Myranda's leaving, that every time I want something I add those 5 words, "I think I deserve it."

I must be about ready to move past this mourning grieving phase since I have noticed myself using that as an excuse for just about everything the last few days. Perhaps I should think of a more conservative approach to my self-indulgence.

Active, as in electric. And chemical. I've heard of some of these things that require only a fraction of the drainfield, and the output is basically clean water. It's the volume of water that is, of course, the main cause of consternation, not so much the quality thereof.
