Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

That would be the every-is-asleep snaig.
To: Ramius
Actually, I bought a Kenwood 9010 receiver while I was on Okinawa back in 89' first year they made the 9000 series... ... 230 watts per channel, seperate amp per channel... the freakin' thing weighs 48 lbs... still rockin' strong... and disturbin neighbors... till I moved out into the wilderness...
To: Ramius
btw... nice snaig...beeyatch...
To: Scott from the Left Coast; g'nad
Innocence
To: g'nad
Oh yeah. Nice unit.
With my old Carver system I used to be quite proud of getting noise complaints from the School of Art. Their building was a good 1000 yards from my dorm room. Ahh... take the Speakerlabs out onto the deck and make structural damage... those were in fact the days.
Speakerlab, in Seattle. There has never been an equal before or since. The only speakers that take more pure power are Peavey....
To: HairOfTheDog; g'nad
innocence Innocence with dice?
I think not.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Just Dang...
I like who you hang out with.
To: Ramius
Oh yeah. Nice unit.
To: HairOfTheDog
hehehe... funny.
Everybody funny.
To: Ramius
Who is that masked woman?
To: HairOfTheDog
Not nice Unit.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Who is that masked woman? Who cares?
To: Scott from the Left Coast
I liked that Unit.
To: HairOfTheDog
You never stood looking up at him on the hill from 60 feet, six inches...from the left hand batter's box.
To: Ramius
Who cares? Sorta gives new meaning to that ol' bag-over-the-head line from the earlier [adolescent] days.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
He's brutal as a pitcher.
Of course we here in Seattle are still kinda miffed at the ownership for letting him go... exactly ONE DAY after the vote for the new ball park. NO... that wouldn't make us BITTER or anything.
the bastards.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
zactly.
To: Ramius
But at least AZ got a championship out of the deal!
To: Ramius; HairOfTheDog
We would've won the series with him in 2001.
(Lou wouldn't have had chance to screw it up with the bullpen with Randy out there).
To: ecurbh
True. Loved that series. That may go down as one of the best series ever.
Anything, though, that denies the yankees a series, is a good thing. :-)
