Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

They don't hand out fans at Lutheran services.... no matter what the weather.My Pastor always chuckles when he sees me whip my fan out at Mass, since our Church is not air-conditioned I have one of those pierced wood ones from Oriental Trading. It is faintly scented, and has flowers painted on it. I keep it in my purse for whenever the air is just too still.
The Girl Scouts had me all teach them how to unfold it with the one wrist flick that I do. They thought it was cool.

Hey, WN, thanks for the shopping advice. I like the first dress quite a bit but I don't want to give my father a heart attack. That one has a bit too much cleavage!

Tub and toilet are white. The sinks are built into the vanity top which is a faux marble...creamish with streaks of gray.

I had to reach out 1500 miles to touch Rose... but we solved that problem!

mmmmmm.... Remington 870...The Marines exhibited great taste in adopting the 870. The Army picked the Winchester 1200, nowhere near as rugged. However, my opinion of the Winchester increased considerably when I found a military Winchester 1200 at a gun show, and it was in even better shape than the one I had in the Guard.
