The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Don't know yet exactly when we'll talk again...but the subject has already been broached, so I guess I didn't scare anyone too badly. ;)

No, we haven't seen it yet! When it came out, we chose to go see "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" instead... and last weekend, we were worn out from driving to San Antonio, so we didn't go out.
It's playing at the "dinner and a movie" place tonight... it's very tempting!
To: RosieCotton
I think I liked him better as a pirate than as an elf. Wowsers! He looks good with dark hair. Oh man! I agree wholeheartedly. But, then I usually prefer guys with dark hair anyway. But, Mm mm MMM mm mmmm I didn't quite expect him to look THAT good in this one. I thought the elf thing was a fluke and I liked the elf hair because it is mega-long.

You need to keep a REAL knife, fork and spoon in your desk!
To: RosieCotton
We saw Pirates in the theater a couple of weeks ago. Then last weekend, we were going by the local Drive-In and there was a double feature Finding Nemo and Pirates, so we got one of Clare's friends and went again! It was fun. I hadn't been to a Drive-In in YEARS! You can listen to the movie on your FM radio, now, so you don't have to keep the windows down for the speaker and get eaten up by skeeters!
To: SuziQ
Yeah, I know. Already have a spoon, but keep forgetting the fork and knife. But I'll learn. Someday.
To: RosieCotton
I guess I didn't scare anyone too badly. ;)That's a good start!
To: RosieCotton
Ooooo....Cagney and Bogart in
The Roaring Twenties at 6:00.
And after that....put the ceiling fan paddles back on in the depressingly white bedroom.
To: Overtaxed
Cagney and Bogart BOTH? I haven't that movie! I wanna!
Sigh. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so cheap. Cable could be a lot of fun.
To: RosieCotton
Sometimes I think I should ditch cable and just build a DVD library instead. But then again maybe all the movies I want aren't on DVD.
To: Overtaxed
Hm...hadn't thought of it that way. I could spend my cable money (which, actually, I don't got) on DVDs. So if I'm ever able to pay for cable and tempted to get it, I could just set aside forty bucks a month or so to buy movies. I only have about seven or eight DVDS. I don't spend money on those, either.
To: Overtaxed
Cable is pretty pricey here, I think.
To: RosieCotton
I bought Casablanca and an MST3K movie last week. That brings my total up to 7 ...but the Fawlty Towers is a set of 3.
To: RosieCotton
I think it's pricey everywhere.

Hello! Moving the office tomorrow so I spent today packing. And I have jury duty in September. I'd be scared to have me on a jury.

Hi! Where's the office moving? Just tell 'em that you think everyone should carry guns. :)
To: Overtaxed
Three doors down. The move is being accomplished by us (the four employees and whichever of my siblings Dad makes help out)
I took apart the network and packed it up... and then, well, it was only 4:30 but I couldn't work without a computer, could I? So I skived off early.
