Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Wow, it looks like whilst I've been gone that Corin has inherited the teenage problems from me! Myranda leaves - Corin gets the problems. at least he's makin' me feel better about this whole bad way that Myranda went off.

I am not sure I ever posted pics of mine!

I have mine on the top shelf of my trophy case where my most treasured things are... But I do intend to fly it too sometimes as a special occasion.

Long cut..... pinging you because I was thinking of you today and your frustration with that film.... There are patriots still to be found. I wanted you to know about the project we had that supported those troops so maligned at Harry's site.... We here at the Hobbit Hole have been sending packages to the 82nd in Kandahar, and look at the wonderful gift they sent back to each of us. We are so thrilled and grateful and proud of our country and our troops.

OT - someone - please give me a really stiff drink right now.

I got home from work and found a wedding invitation from two old friends who are younger than I am. I'm blow out of the water. I can't be old enough to get married or know anyone who is!

Also... this is the same group of friends that included my only... how to say this... the only real person I've ever fallen in love with. Haven't seen him for years. Why are there butterflies in my stomach? Can I possibly wear a size ten by the time of the wedding?

Thanks, ladies... I am more than optimistic about this wedding. Just also terrified that I know someone who's getting married. But... they were homeschoolers. Which means the guests will mostly be former homeschoolers. Which is high on my list of important possible qualities in a possible husband...

Well, I am afraid I am beyond that long ago.... What scared me was when a friend and I were tutoring reading at the elementary school and we realized we were tutoring the son of one of my former boyfriends. And that was 10 years ago. These things will become less shocking as you age.... Heh.
