Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I am thinking of moving Flat Frodo and the Chaplain pages to a new subdomain of "http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net". Or maybe "http://journeys.the-hobbit-hole.net". What do y'all think?I'm in definite favor of some "special" subdomain to get people to those particular pages. We should include a small "certificate" with HH and memeber information, but that paper won't last long. But that URL engraved on the knife will always be there, and the soldier has enough info right there to look us up.

It was an engaging interview but of particular interest was her mention of spending the "last couple of days in studio" recording music that she's been invited to work on for "the next Lord Of The Rings film..". Looks like we'll be hearing her beautiful voice in ROTK. Can't wait!

OK - I think whatever subdomain you come up with, the idea of giving them that addy instead of trying to guide them here is a good one! We are harder to find here, for a stranger.
There could be a link right at the top of that page to the current thread... (To find us click here!) and that would be easy to update when we change threads... Or there could be an easy to find email address for those that are too shy or too confused to register here before saying hi. ecurbh could get that and be able to either report it, or help them get registered.

Seriously, I just get tired of how America, and FReepers as a subset, seem to jump into and soak up every last detail of anything involving sex, rape, grisly murder.... All the while claiming to be really offended by the subject of their own fascination. We have had one after another lately, Van Damm, Peterson, Kobe.
