Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

You'd have to set it all up before you go, if that's even possible...

Wonder if it's a portent of the future for me that I have not been able to sell my old house after 2 years... and yet, it's paid off.... so in event of emergency, I could get out of here and have a paid-off place to live?
Maybe I ought to just put this place up for sale and take off.

I put you back on the Active prayer list in our Parish this week! My sister and her husband ar going throuh some tough financial times right now, so I've gotten an inkling of your experience. I'll have the folks praying for you and her.

is My Back Yard going to take a photo of herself and Frodo in Her Back Yard? Yes, well, maybe.
My back yard has just today had a ton of wood delivered for a remodeling project (one I have waited forever to get done) And Mexico is put off until next Friday, because the guys are doing the Cape Lookout/Harkers Island thing this weekend (and I'm not goin to Mexidor without em, even with Frodo's sting and Glamdring.)
Neighbor and Bear -- I've told Corin I will have Frodo to him by July 29th. That doesn't leave a whole lot of time. Do you two still want to try and get your time with Frodo in that window? Or try another time, later?
My daughter is coming from Austin tonight and she will be going back on Saturday evening. She could take him with her, and deliver to someone there (and just skip the Mexico trip).
It just depends, I guess, on if you could squeeze the Alamo or the Ranch in, in time to get it to Corin by the end of July.
I feel I have opened my mouth before I thought this out better, and so have not left you guys enough time.
I would be thrilled to have him to Mexico next weekend still, but not at the expense of you guys missing out.

To: Wneighbor
No, I don't have Frodo at work. I have some things planned later this evening though. ;)
To: My back yard
I think I will try to get him later MBY. I don't have any trips planned back home right now and I will surely have to make a trip to take care of personal stuff later in the summer or early fall. Can't take him much of anyplace in Wichita Falls. And can't get to Austin to get him. So, don't worry about me.

Well folks. My boss called and said the fight was lost.
I'm leaving to go home and cry for a bit. Then, tomorrow, I'll be ready to get back on the horse and ride!
See you all later!

Any job prospects down that way for you? Since you're free to go wherever you want to at this point, why the heck not do it? Nope. No job prospects there. I was looking when Grama died. But, now, even though I love home and all my friends are there, that's also where family members are that I want to stay away from. So, basically, I'm at odds right now about what to do. And I figure the wise thing to do is kind of let the dust settle in my life for a bit, get over the emotional junk and then think about making a new decision.

That makes me feel a little better. Does it make you feel better when you make someone else feel a little better. I hope so. And, I'm sorry to hear about all of your grief of late.
To: My back yard
Yeah, it makes me feel better to make you feel better too.
I know I'll get over grief. I just don't like this getting through it! :-)
