Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It took awhile last time too.... I have real mixed feelings right now... I am going into potential money crunch, but as much as I use it, I don't want to stop donating. Will just have to save money somewhere else!

I've had to cut back on my donations until my sign-flying income has returned to normal.

"Now why the he!! can't government think this way." As long as politicians have the ability to use taxes to buy votes, the government is not going to think this way, IMO. And I'm sure the people who think they are being bought think they are very happy with being bought and owned.

Life is chaos for me right now--actually, it is becoming a permanent state.
Gloom, despair, and agony... :^)
I'm pretty much a fit-and-run poster now. I really don't have time for this, but I am addicted to Free Republic. When things calm down, I'll sit down for a nice cup of coffee with ya'll and you can catch me up on the Hole.
When I do get time, I am going to try to to find a box big enough for my care package to "our troops." I 've done my shopping--I just need a box. I hope they like the stuff; I'm not the shopper that 2JM is.

Not quite sure why, but they are digging a hole. Hmmmm, the other night they were stealthily peering in your window.....now they're digging a mysterious, shallow hole out in the back 40......
I wouldn't go answering any late night whinnying if I were you.
