The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

anyone else I forgot, please consider yourself pinged. Whew! - I feel better now! I guess that answers my question then? ;~D
To: 2Jedismom
I thought of you today when I went grocery shopping after work. Saw a can of Spam with Cheese when I went looking for canned clams.

Sounds great man! Let me know where to find it, and I'll be there with a case of Schlitz and a dartboard!
I started my new job this week, and I've got zero time to do anything on line until the evenings.

Good night all! - The whole Seattle thing today wore me out! - I was up too late last night!
I am gonna go it the couch and watch a movie.

Good evening... we're watching a movie too.
Can you guess which one?
To: Wneighbor
Good evening!
We hope to be there between 6 and 6:30, but please forgive us if we're late! We often are.
Would you like us to bring you a "birthday present"?

Look for my coming on the dawning of the fourth day...Okey-doke!
To: HairOfTheDog
"Would hobbit lasses be excluded outright from this little boys club of yours?"
No, it would be really good if you guys would come sometimes.
I will try to get us to put out some candles then...if we can't find candlestick holders we'll get beer bottles that are probably laying around and use them, maybe put bows or something on to make them look nice.
Could you bring a couple bottles of Old Winyards with you?
See everyone later, am going to watch a movie with my lady now.
To: Sam Cree
SC et al: Sounds pretty good, the RR lamps are a great touch. How about some shed antlers for candle holders and cribbage boards.
Been catching up, to stay in character I could say I've been out keeping the lands north of the shire safe, but alas, it was only a biz trip to St. Louis.

Doesn't this just kill ya? Is this one on the path at the top of Cirith Ungol?

2JM - wow, that is quite an experience, I followed your thread backwards from later posts - thanks for sharing and your witness.
I've been truly blessed that I never had the vertigo, it was a sharp pain one minute, no hearing the next. The audiologists believe a blood vessel broke. Mostly sounds like the seas now in the right one. Left is perfect.
To: Dawntreader
Maybe it's because you just don't see it that often. But it just breaks my heart when I see a man cry. Sir SuziQ says that the last 5 minutes of FoTR is the most hugging, kissling and crying by men that he's EVER seen in any movie. But he liked the movie a lot!

Ok, I just saw the movie for the 7th time tonight. It was the first time I had seen it since being a HHD. And because of that I found myself thinking different thoughts.
"Just what exactly is that lembas bread made out of?"
"And that's what is really going to happen to Arwen, too. How sad! *sniff sniff*"
"A dwarf really is excellent to have on your side."
"Hey, those elves really do scream like women!"

Good evening!!!! We are really on countdown now! I would love a birthday present!!! Thank you. I was going to see if there was any old mathom I could find around here for you.... but I don't bake cookies so it'll be some other mathom surprise!!!! I'm excited. You've been noticing that for days now.
Okay, us girls are easing up on the elf appreciation... but FYI as soon as I walked in the door tonight from a HORRIBLE evening class Myranda says, "oooooo i git to go see haldir tomorrow."
you're in for it. Guys you might ought to send Bear some sympathy tomorrow.

Ok, then...you and I have dibs on the chairs on the left side of the TV at Entmoot!
;-)
Seriously, I sit on the left side of the TV with my left ear cocked toward it whenever there's something on the TV I want to watch...which is rare.
