Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I don't know. Mine doesn't require baking at all. Which I like. But, it is very very messy to make. I sent it to Bear and Rose because they wanted to try it but I'm not sure if they ever did.

...with about 4 feet of poison ivy ground cover....for their dogs doncha know!Absolutely! Poison Ivy turns a beautiful red-orange in the fall!! I'm sure the neighbors will think it is a lovely display.
Just don't let the Aussies get into it!!
To: Wneighbor
Is it time consuming, or a quick thing? I'll try it if it doesn't require too much time. I can only turn my attention away from the babies for so long before havoc breaks out. Hee hee!
To: trini
DON'T be sorry!!! I just have this old old recipe that I use. I'm not much of one for trying new things when I have recipes I already like for stuff. And I don't like to bake much.
Also, it is summer! And who wants to turn on the oven in summer? I don't have the air conditioner on.

They're short of fiber. That's only a rumor cause some guy misrepresented the son-in-law. Besides, fiber is highly overrated.

It's not time consuming. But, once you get your hands into it you'd have a tough time handling an emergency situation with the kids. You use your hands to mush all this stuff together and it's sticky as all getout.
I'll go get my recipe card and freepmail it to you. It's one of those real old hand-me-down family recipes so there's options on it to add this or that as you like it.

A nice hedge ornament for LF. I love it!! Slob Art! Should she get one of these to go along with it?
To: Wneighbor
Wellll...there must be some reason for the raisin-lembas variation. Maybe the prune variation was a flop.
To: Wneighbor
Thanks, whenever you have time. I probably can't make til the weekend when the hubby is home for a good long time anyway.

OOohh - Your eye injury makes me hurt 2J! [shudder] I do hope they are right and it will heal quickly!
Ironic that you had just taken off safety glasses!
Wonderful about the flag(s) I am really excited!
To: Overtaxed
I would imagine so!LOL.
To: Overtaxed; Wneighbor
Excess fiber causes gas.
Just ask Corin.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
We'll be sure to ask, Mr. Sugar Substitute!:-)
To: HairOfTheDog
How was the air show?
To: mstar

To: ecurbh
Tell you in a minute! - Am still catching up!
Hullo!
To: HairOfTheDog; All
Ok, I think I'm gonna call it a night. Have a good night everyone. Talk to you tomorrow.
To: Lil'freeper
Big'ol talked me out of confronting the blankety-blank. I would take the bags and give them back.... Seriously! That would *really* piss me off.
To: trini
Me too. Good night, everyone!
