Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

No they can't. Yes they can!

I just like the taste of tequila. And after 10 rounds of Jose Cuervo...
I once went to an after work thing and had enough tequila to make me think that having a female co-worker call the Mrs. and tell her I was gonna be late was a good thing... (is that a runon sentence?)
To: g'nad
sorry about the chick. But I knew it was you postin' once I got to the word "heartbreaking" ;-)

Okay, here's a good rule of thumb: Always put the coffee carafe under the coffee maker when you make a pot of coffee.
I put a pot on around 11:00 and didn't go back for about an hour while I was finishing up a project for the pool. Saw this huge puddle in the kitchen, but knew the dog had been with me the whole time.
It was coffee, all over the floor. The pot was sitting on the counter...sigh...and it was hazelnut...
To: Corin Stormhands
I DID THAT AT WORK!
HA!
To: Corin Stormhands
What was hazelnut? The pot, the counter, or the coffee?

Well, now it's the floor.
To: Corin Stormhands
I think hardwood floors are really classy.

This is the most insane dog ever: Watching Animal Planet dog with ball.

Notice the foot scratches on the TV stand.... I just hope she doesn't break the screen one day.
To: HairOfTheDog
Golly... you ought to make a video of her and send it to The Planet's Funniest Animals. Then she could go nuts watching herself go nuts watching the TV.

That's too funny. Sam ignores the tv. He used to bark at doorbells on tv. But he's figured out the sounds come from different places.
To: Corin Stormhands
Most dogs ignore the TV.... I have rarely seen a dog that will even look at it, let alone be that into it!

And so the cycle goes
To: HairOfTheDog
In comic books that's called an "infinity effect"... or when used on the cover, an "infinity cover".

Here's one... it may be hard to tell, but the comic book they're looking at has the same cover of them looking at a comic, etc.

It's always good to have a project.
Good night!

OK, got to see Pirates this afternoon!! That was a FUN movie and Orly was wonderful in his part as the intense blacksmith in love. I said Johnny Depp was 'over the top' in his part, but Clare said he was SO over the top he was on the other side. His was the most fun portrayal of a pirate I've ever seen! We enjoyed it immensely!

...and it was hazelnut... hazelnut?... bet yer gay...
