Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hair: good thinking, need water for coffee and horses. Whiskey for my men. Beer for my horses...

Washing machine holds water better than a bathtub. And you can use the water in the water heater. Heh...someone's prepared for (or lived thru) a hurricane or two...

Well, looks like I'll funkle with this post. We made it to King's Dominion this evening for fireworks, but not without "one of those days."
Let's just say the phrase "can we talk about this," was uttered today.
And that's all I have to say about that.
To: Corin Stormhands
Well, it was s'posed to be a surprise, but g'nad and I have been workin' on a duet fer Entpoot...er...moot....Why am I not surprised!?

I think he did okay, but that's part of the "one of those days" story...
Jr. and I ran off to ride the white water ride and wife took Luke to Carousel. She was sposed to wait for us there. Which she did, but we didn't see her. So we went to the area we'd talked about for watching fireworks and of course never found her.
We're looking into a set of walkie talkies...
To: HairOfTheDog
Cool. I forget how to play.
To: HairOfTheDog
I haven't played backgammon in years! SSQ and I used to play all the time, but that was pre-kids! I'll have to re-learn it!
We're heading up to NH tomorrow to 'do the Flume'. We'll be up in the White Mountains, not too far from Rosie! Too bad I didn't think of that before right now!

Nite folks.
To: Corin Stormhands
So we went to the area we'd talked about for watching fireworks and of course never found her. That happened once at the Grand Casino in Biloxi when Clare and I got separated from SSQ, his brother and the boys. We thought we were meeting them at the bottom of the escalator. I didn't realize that there were TWO escalators and that we were each waiting at the bottom of one of them! ARRGH. Took us 1/2 an hour to find each other!
Cell phones would work in that situation, however, that was before we had them!

I'm heading off too. I think we're planning to leave early and I'll need to pack a picnic lunch before we go!
Have a great day tomorrow everybody!
Have a safe trip, OT!

RE: Backgammon
The Yahoo backgammon game works pretty good! It was a lot of fun, once we both remembered how to play. - I started a room, and ecurbh could see which room I was in and go there.... others could come in the same room too, we should try it sometime with more than two and figure out how that works, if they take turns or what.
