The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hair; okay, what's the answer, I thought it was the guy got wounded, with two feet off, got killed.
Hope your water gets fixed soon. That's a bummer. btw, I thought you went to paper plates and who washes a coffee mug?

It means the person died from wounds received in battle.

Hair; I concur, not a good sign, "gotta go get me a part" said within 2 hours of quiting time is also not a good sign.

So kitty goes to sister's while you are gone? - Has she been there before? Does she travel well? Yes, she's been there before and no, she doesn't travel well although she did fairly well tonight....just "number 1" and drool. Most times it's "number 2" and throw up.

Well, I could tell when the water pressure went to heck today that it was failing, and I refilled all the horse water and a big jug in the fridge and the bathtub..... so I can rough it.

Poor kitty...it's only an hour ride.
She does okay once she's there, though.

OT: our cats travel quite well, been to colorado a couple of times, had the kitty carriers facing each other on the back seat. The dog, well, another story, industrial strength drool before we leave the neighborhood, good thing the kennel is only 5 long minutes away.
Hair: good thinking, need water for coffee and horses.
To: HairOfTheDog
Washing machine holds water better than a bathtub. And you can use the water in the water heater.

"Iron Chef" tonight is featuring a French-cooking association called "Club Mistral". "Mistral" is a French word for a strong wind.Hmmm. Is "Strong Wind" what you have after eating the food? ;o)

Is "Strong Wind" what you have after eating the food? Is there sugar substitute in it?

And you pinged me to the fart thread because??????

Why is it that I suspect that Corin might have spent his entire retirement fund in fines before reaching the 6th Grade? I just don't know why you people have this impression of me...
To: HairOfTheDog
I knew that one. Can't live in the nation's Capital and then the Capital of the Confederacy without knowing some statue "facts."
To: Overtaxed; osagebowman
bath-tub water is mostly just for toilet flushing.... good tip on the washer!.... that would be good, never occurred to me..
For horse water and other emergencies, I have a 55 gallon water barrel in the barn that is potable too.
