Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Wooohooo...that one goes with the Butt Crack story from yesterday. That's one really dumb (or drunk) guy. I thought every guy understood about peeing near electrical sources. What a way to go. Especially considering what was acting as his lightning rod.

Guess I'm dull after all. Sigh..... me too....

Hope things work out the way you want. I'd like to find someone to pay me to retire.

mmmmm....fresh bread....It turned out pretty well; of course I just HAD to sample it after it had cooled a bit. Next time, I'll use less black cocoa powder and more molasses and raisins. I only had 1/2 cup of raisins in the house, and besides, the restaurant used golden raisins in theirs and all I had were the dark ones. I'll just have to keep 'sperimenting til I get it right! ;o)
I am off to tackle the brush! See y'all in a bit!

Guess I'm dull after all.Me too. If I want to make noise, I go to the range and punch holes in paper. But with my shooting muffs on, I can't tell how much noise I'm making. (Judging from some of the looks I get, a lot).

Hate it when the water goes out.
Just finished mangling the weeds and I'm waiting for the mower to cool down. Sister's coming back to pick up Miss PG in about an hour or so.
To: Overtaxed
Is the house sister-clean again then?

He's one of my favorite comedians. I've been listening to USofA for at least 20 years, since I checked out the LP from the library and taped it. There's so many great lines in there.

"What's that?"
"French horns."

http://www.rinkworks.com/trivia/ You might be interested in the horse trivia they have there. There is also Middle-Earth trivia, but lots of the questions are about the Silmarillion, and I almost always have to guess on those.
To: ecurbh
Man! - I only got 15 out of 25! Hard horse questions!
Gonna try my luck at another.

Lots of hilarious stuff on that site too. When doing tech support, we would always browse through the Computer Stupidities, and find things to which we could relate.

Only 13 out of 25 on Middle Earth...
Lots of Silmarillion questions, you're right, and Hobbit questions, which I am really rusty on. (and remembering the number of stanzas in a song is too hard)
