Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It's dry out there, I've been to Margaret McKinney a couple of times in the past week. It's August dry already. Good for tomatoes, trouble for underbrush.

Yes, we have a large contingent here in Olympia ready to save the world. To make it safe for all "plants, animals and humans" as he says. I think every greener they graduate wants to be President. God help us all if one actually ever makes it.

Well there is nothing to do at work tonight, but with time-and-a-half pay, I don't want to leave early. I brought Harry Potter with me though. And Ann Coulter, in case I finish that.

Now she is laying down in the yard, saying "ROAWF! ROAWF".

That's right.... I am in a whole 'nother time!
This is a positive development.... She is still up, and hackeled and barking, but she has her toy in her mouth so it just sounds like "MMMMFF!"
Notice calm quiet non-upset horse in the distant background who just grazing calmly.... This is just periodic firecrackers that don't upset them... I am getting a sense that there will be more tonight.....
