Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Okay, I am determined to move my blog and get all my websites up and running this weekend. (I can dream). But I've screwed up the archives page on WebCrimson and there is NO tech support. They haven't posted anything there for almost a year.
I need a new hosting site that will let me register my domain. I need suggestions. Inexpensive would be good. But simple would be better.
Thoughts? Suggestions? I hope to get to work on this tonite. At least in editing the pages. I can move them when I find a host.

Are you looking specifically for a blogging site? If so, I don't know of any. But, if you're looking for a generic hosting service, I use
Mitchell Media... they've been pretty reliable and responsive. And, they're inexpensive.

No, I've not been happy either with Blogspot or WebCrimson. I want my own site and I'll have to find the right program to allow me to blog. I'll check out Mitchell Media. Thanks.

I had the second disk in the other night and was listening to PJ's commentary (again). He said something that caught my ear.
The Fellowship was in Moria sitting before the three doors waiting for Gandalf to remember which way to go. While Frodo and Gandalf were talking there is a shot of Gollum peering at the Fellowship. During that scene PJ said that he has plans to go back and make the Fellowship Gollum look like the TT Gollum.
I take that to mean that sometime after ROTK there will be an additional release of at least FoTR. Do you think we will get even more footage? After all, they shot over 500 hours of film. It'd be a shame to waste it all.
