The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

LOL .. you guys are funny .. It is a little more expensive, but I TREASURE my pictures and am a bit of a photography buff. When I finish a roll, I want to see them NOW!! if I could process them myself, I would, and someday might... It's worth it for me .. I can save in other areas (you know like only getting my hair cut once a year and stuff.. hee hee)

I'll have to check it out when I get home. Regardless, I'm sure the need proof of purchase and all that jazz, so I'd have to do some serious digging around for it! Name brands like APC and Isobar have lifetime insurance for their products, so they don't care when and where you bought it. If you have a claim, I think they send you a claim form or something.
One thing to remember is that no matter how good or cheap a surge protector is, the "protection" is limited. Every time it protects you from a surge, a bit of that "protection" is used up. When the protection is all gone, you have just a "straight through" power strip, and everything gets through after that. So better surge protectors, besides having insurance, will have an indicator light to show when the protection is all "used up".

[Yawn] I'm up.
First of all, Happy Birthday to Corin and SuziQ!!
My back is doing better today. It's still pretty sore, but at least I can move around without too much pain now. I spent the morning in bed resting, and reading the first Harry Potter book. I picked it up in the Pittsburg airport yesterday.
To: RMDupree
...Are you wearing my birthday present again?
