The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Rosie, maybe you and I can just go out to dinner or something and let it blow over! Sounds good to me! I prefer pints to spam anyday!
To: RMDupree; RosieCotton
Rosie - just imagine capturing the quadruple Precious with a post that says "I HATE SPAM!"20 times, one right after the other!

I have! I have! I had to go into mourning last week because of the death.
I'm nervous about Oldman as Sirius. Only thing I've seen him in is "Fifth Element". Not sure if he can handle the part, but everyone tells me he can.

you were at an Internet Cafe and you didn't check in? Nope, the schedule was kind of tight. It was all I could do to get pics of Frodo on 42nd. St. much less log on and tell y'all about it! I'm loading them on the York site right now. I'll post a few in a while.

Oh ick. sounds contentious.

Calvin claims another...... ;^) You know, after I posted that I was wondering if I was gonna take some ribbing. I need to find another word for reformed.

We could just go to the chat room, have some Haagen Daas and laugh and point at everyone.

My brother said Harry only had one emotion... anger!
I said, "don't all 15 year olds."
Actually, I understand Harry's anger. So much has happened to him. He's Voldemorte's target, yet everyone is babying him and keeping him out of the picture and in the dark.

Nothing worse than a reformed spammer...Well, now I don't know about that.
I think you do it because you know it bothers some people. I think that's why all the "spammers" do it.
I think you do it also because by God, nobody's gonna tell you what you can and can't do (even if they ask nicely).
Now you can offer up some of your false apologies...offer to leave the thread, do what ever it is you always do so everyone will fall all over themselves begging you not to leave...I don't care.
And that's all I've got to say about that.

I'm nervous about Oldman as Sirius. Oh he's perfect. The man has depth and serious (pun) acting ability. The Fifth Element was just a fun romp- not at all representative. Check out "Immortal Beloved". He's extrordinary.
To: RMDupree
I don't know. When I was a little kid, I rode horses for at least a year or more before it dawned on anyone that I was extremely allergic to them.
Maybe it takes a little while for the allergy to build?

My brother said Harry only had one emotion... anger! Yeah, Harry's having a rough time learning that he's not the center of the universe. Good for JK- this has been my biggest criticism of the books to date. I also enjoyed the twist with Neville and the prophecy- more humble pie for Potter.
To: Lil'freeper; carton253
Well, that's good... anyone know about the actor who's playing Remus? Those two will make or break the movie.
I loved all the new stuff we learned in the last Potter book about the wizarding world, particularly about the Black family. Do you know almost all the names in Sirius's family are stars? Even Bellatrix is a star.
Did you think Nymphadora Tonks or Kingsley Shacklebolt was the better new character? Or Zacharias Smith? And is Umbridge the worst Defense teacher yet? Funny that the only ones who were any good were the werewolf and the Death Eater...

My kids all love chocolate, but have developed a mild allergic reaction that causes them to breakout in hives if they have too much over a short period of time.
They didn't start out that way.
