The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Four months old, hopefully...large brown eggs, supposedly! Now that is gonna be a hoot!
I'll take a picture, I'm sure.

They had a figure of Ronald Reagan in Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in NYC. But they had his hair all wrong! The figure had longish, medium brown hair that was kind of hanging down over his forehead! He NEVER wore his hair like that! It was very dark, almost black, and he ususally wore it swept back up above his forehead.
Clare took a picture of me with the Dubya figure, and also with the Castro and Yassir Arafat figures. I put devil horns on the two of them for the picture, LOL!!

For me it was. Bush was a riot. He was very nice. So was Barbara...meeting her was more of an introduction and pleased to meet you.
But Ronnie... he was very charming and funny. It was a fleeting moment... but one time stood still for.
I remember it like it was yesterday.

You had me worried with the Arafat picture! LOL! Here's a question. Why don't mean ole rotten dictators just die!

Oh, I have the same flat-foot problem. Sketchers are the only shoes that seem to work for me. Heels on Sunday kill me, I absolutely hate wearing them. Hm...you know, I don't think I've tried on any Sketchers recently. I've looked at 'em and thought "those look nice", but haven't tried them. Maybe I should!
I don't wear heels. Got some semi-dressy flats, but that's as far as I go. I own one pair of heels, but I've worn them twice and unless I HAVE to, I ain't wearing them again. I think heels were invented by men, not by someone who actually intended to WEAR the darn contraptions.

I think that is so cute the way he sits in the coop with his chickens:)
I noticed last night I am missing one of my roosters:( I think he must have disappeared Sunday sometime.

We aren't supposed to post anything violent, so I won't. But, I would not be sad to see the day Arafat goes to his reward.

I never "met" Reagan. But I lived in DC during the last two years of his Administration. With my job I got to go several events where he was present (same with GHWB). It was always inspiring. Just sitting here remembering a 4th of July at the Jefferson Memorial...I'm thinking 1987...sigh...
Those were wonderful years to be in DC.
To: 2Jedismom
Yeah I was sick last night when I noticed he was gone. It's the one that my daughter-in-law asked me if she could have when they get a barn. He was real pretty.

To: 2Jedismom
I'm sure you will! HAHAHA!
That's going to be really neat to see eggs after all this time. :)
