Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

That is why these threads like Hobbit Hole exsit. JR. saw a trend, and went with it. I think that these multipost threads each have their own tone and are allowed because of that tone. Does that make sense?

No it's not... This thread doesn't belong to anyone of us... you can't keep people in and you can't keep people out. I can't stop you from posting about chickens, and you can't keep me from posting about the Middle East if I really want to. Sorry, but that's the way it is (in my opinion of course)

I was just was voicing my opinion on what I thought the tone of this thread was. I was wrong, and I apologize.

I took no offense. You were saying "that doesn't belong here." My answer was, "sorry, for offending you, but it's not for you to say."

Now, we can continue to debate this issue if you would like... but really, there is no offense with me. You did what you thought was right. That took courage... I applaud you for that...

Yes, I left it with the vet. I didn't get a good look at it till I got it there and they held it up, so I didn't know for sure what was wrong with it. It may just be an inflammation...I couldn't really tell.

Yes, the wildlife rescue told me to take it to that vet and it didn't cost me anything.

I like it that they mate for life...I see the same couples every year...they have nests and raise their babies in our trees and sit on our fence and powerline!

I've been trying to be good...haven't had chocolate in at least...umm...well...

I haven't had a chocolate BAR in a week or so. I have a dollar in my pocket and the bookstore here on campus is open. We'll see how long the dollar remains in place. ;)
