Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

That was a good race! Some of the jerk teams got unexpected setbacks, like when Team GirlyMen bought first-class tickets and had to catch a different flight.
I think we're almost due for a non-elimination round. I'm starting to feel fond of the Air Traffic Control guys, so I hope they stick around for a while.

got just under 2 acres planted in milo, corn and sunflowers... should be effective food plots... got the seed fer free from the MDC... may plant a few green belts in winter wheat fer natural firebreaks... never dream of usin' 'em fer free fire zones...

Yes, like the ATC guys here too, but they've been right on the edge of being eliminated twice now, haven't they?
The NFL Wives surprised me... they were first coming out of the race track, but fourth at the next stop. They must not drive very well!

I think they got lost. They didn't take the freeway, if I recall correctly.
Yeah, the ATCs keep coming in next to last. But as long as they don't actually get eliminated, good for them!

We took a phoenix - from the cover of the English version - blacked out the background, and put it on tshirts as the logo on the front. Oh, and I added words that say "Order of the Phoenix". Then on the back we painted "Constant Vigilance" in silver. These are black shirts and they look really neat.
Anyway, on that note, I'm about to head off for bed. I may check in Saturday or Sunday night if my mother makes the little guys go to bed before midnight. Otherwise, I'll be back Monday! Don't let them burn down the Hole, Suzi.

Surreal adventures tend to amuse me!
Am doing ok here... Trying to finish up some things tonight so Rose and I can drive down to San Antonio tomorrow. Going for our regular eye examinations... not sure how I'll be feeling afterwards, so don't know if I'll be posting at all tomorrow.
How was your day? Sounds like you've been enjoying your retirement so far!

relatively slow... went town this mornin' to get becca's stitches outta her foot, walmart resupply, the gas company to change over the account, DMV to pick up our retired military license plates.... then alot of odd jobs inside... we hadda storm this afternoon...
tomorrow I gotta haul some trees we cut down, hang a few shelves, mow and weed whack...
