The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My sister was born THREE DAYS before my FIRST birthday! Latin Irish twins? Hey that's why we're BOTH wierd! We've got an excuse!

Actually there is very little confirmed about this Harry Potter book. I think the house elf revolt is further off, personally, but that's just because I think there needs to be more foundation.
This book is really going to be setting up the last two, wait and see. Those quarter-million words are going to have us all spinning... anyone want to start a death pool wager, who and how many?
We got our Harry Potter shirts made! Now we're all set... two more days...

41 = A lot of $$$ for a burger! Well, like I said on the burger thread, you could get a pound of Kobe beef and have your butcher grind it for a LOT less than $41. And from that pound you can get 4 med. or 2 jumbo burgers! A lot better buy than $41 a pop!

Hmmm, maybe we should try to get our own TV show. LOLLike Sifl and Olly?
To: RMDupree
It could be a take-off on MST3K, but with 80's teen flicks! Now THAT would be fun to watch!!
To: Corin Stormhands
And the rest stops on the West Virginia Turnpike have Starbucks!Nothin but the best for Old Bobby Byrd!
To: Corin Stormhands
So, should we mail 'em all a sock with their "rebate?"I don't remember, does that mean they'd then be FREE or that WE'D be responsible for them from then on?
To: RMDupree
Guess the hobbits got here first :')
To: SuziQ
Suzi, you funkled!
The sock would mean they had to take care of themselves from now on...
Had to go buy a new cd player, mine died. We are all in a tizzy waiting for Harry Potter here.

Cool... this is my office cd player. It gets too quiet there sometimes, plus I listen to Rush every day, so I need a working cd/radio machine.

I got a new/old machine at work that now has a sound card and just a regular beat-up old radio for Rush. But then most of the time I'm not at my desk.

I'm stuck at the desk all day long... at least we have seperate offices so I can shut the door and work and even hum along with the music.

RUSH
RUSH LYRICS - Something For Nothing
Waiting for the winds of change
To sweep the clouds away
Waiting for the rainbow's end
To cast its gold your way
Countless ways
You pass the days
Waiting for someone to call
And turn your world around
Looking for an answer
To the question you have found
Looking for
An open door
You don't get something for nothing
You can't have freedom for free
You won't get wise
With the sleep still in your eyes
No matter what your dreams might be
What you own is your own kingdom
What you do is your own glory
What you love is your own power
What you live is your own story
In your head is the answer
Let it guide you along
Let your heart be the anchor
And the beat of your own song
You don't get something for nothing
You can't have freedom for free
You won't get wise
With the sleep still in your eyes
No matter what your dreams might be

I listen to Rush every dayI miss listening to Rush. With the kids doing homeschool, I don't want to disturb them with the radio on. It is hard enough sometimes keeping them 'on task' without the distraction!
