The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I don't have any steaks on hand and it looks like rain anyway. :)
I sure hope we dry out before the hurricanes hit or we'll have another Floyd situation.

Don't mix up the solvents and the beverages! Okay!
To: HairOfTheDog
Isn't that a good question! All right then, keep your secrets. ;-)
I can check with my landlord about his policy on pets.

Let me switch computers and see what's in the fridge.

Did you get a quote from a plumber? Nope. I'm leaving at 12:30 tomorrow to go sit with Grama again. I have to work in the morning. He wouldn't get here on my schedule so I'll call next week if I have to. I really think I will go ahead and try winmag's suggestion. Can't hurt. Might work.
this is entmoot money here.

are you gonna mention that this pet weighs hundreds of pounds and will need a pasture area in which to graze?

1,200 pounds to be exact... (If that one can get the OK, the pony will be a breeze at 850 pounds)

I have some chicken and some veggies. I'll think of something.

Since I am down to less than 24 hours before I can leave to go stay with my Grama in the hospital again, I will just recover the hole in my floor and do this when I get back. Same plan - new week. Before you actually get started, let me research other repair methods. There are also tapes that you can wrap around the leak, and the water is supposed to harden and seal it. Whether these miracle cures actually work, I don't know, but I like to keep current on technology.

Well, only if he tries to pin me down on the specifics. There is a back yard. And a garage. I could park my car on the street.

There are also tapes that you can wrap around the leak, and the water is supposed to harden and seal it. Looking at the picture, it looks like someone already tried that with what looks like black electrical tape.

Hey
That sounds like a lot of fun. We are going to the lake this weekend. When I get back I am going to start riding lessons and begin looking around for my horse :')

[grin!]
OOOOOOh I wonder how long that would seem like a good idea!
I am getting some stuff ready and then I need to go to town on errands.
I do think no matter what happens in the next few weeks, my days of doing whatever I want all day are going to end... To some degree that is good, but am still afraid of adventures of any kind!
