The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Not bad, not bad. I'm sleeping in a little bit tomorrow. We're not to come in to work until after nine, so the folks in charge can have their little meeting and everyone can pretend nothing happened. So there's an extra half-hour for me. Not to be sneered at.
Counting days until Harry Potter... nine left...

*sigh* I should try to start another book. Just hard to keep my interest in something that requires concentration and with kids it's nigh impossible!
I'll be signing off in a bit to go relax.

Hey! Believe me, I can appreciate the extra half hour! LOL!
I'm gonna go lay down and watch some TV. Maybe I'll inspire myself to start another book after FOTR is over. :)
See you all later!

E: pretty cool web site, bet that was a lot of work. Tried a couple things, but it appears we (the navigation (posting and chat) and I) are stalemated. I really never know how much is me being a luddite and how much is webtv not supporting all the bells and whistles. Never the less, you have done quite a nice job.

We saw you come in and you stayed for a while (but didn't say anything.) Then you were gone with no exit notice or anything!

The place is very cool ecurbh! - I think we are gonna like that a lot!
Very easy board to figure out, and the chat works pretty well!
I took Gidget with me on my trip to Bremerton today, and on my way home I stopped at the beach house and let her have a swim after the long car ride.

Throw it again! Please!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't had time to catch up on the thread yet, - and - I may collapse before I do... I hope all is well with everyone!

Do you all have a grammer patrolman on this thread:), sorry, it should have been "they're so cool"
Becky

No real grammar cops here!
Gidget has a lot of fun in life! Every single thing is fun!
I waited up as long as I could before putting horses to bed.... Now that is done and I predict I will be asleep within the half-hour.
I get so used to being alone and I get so wiped out on days like this; long drive to presentation in front of a big group and then return; plus the stop at the beach house and visiting.
I learned in some class about different personality types and I remember the teacher saying that there are two types of people, one who sucks in energy from other people (I have a friend like that who gets more and more hyped by being in a big group of people) and ones for whom people just suck the energy right out of.... by the end of a meeting they are drained. I am one of those. Teacher said the second type like me never become politicians.

Thanks Ruthie and WN! I'll try to post while I'm out there if I can!
I have to do some more packing tonight, then I'm going to bed! I'm so tired. I'm kind of scared I'm going to oversleep like I did today...yikes!
Later!!

Teacher said the second type like me never become politicians.Well thank goodness for that.
Looks like my day was as un-busy as your was busy. Planned to get some work done, but got started on the website, and one thing led to another. Of course next thing I knew it's 11pm and time to start getting ready to retire. Oh well.
That class sounds like a training thing I had to go through a few weeks ago. Learned that the two types of employees are "eagles" and "ducks". So we got all rah-rah and said we'd be eagles, but I know I'm a duck and happy that way. You know the saying, "Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines."
Did you go swimming too, or was Gidget the only one with that pleasure?
