Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Lot's of people out slaying trolls or making journeys today! Well, I think I just reached the end of a weird little side-trip on my journey tonight... work has been utterly weird for the past couple weeks. Like when you're about to have a thunderstorm, but it hasn't happened, the way the air feels? Like that.
Looks like I was right; someone is getting fired. Fortunately not me, the chief sales-type. We junior programmers have been instructed to come in late tomorrow so as to miss the fireworks. Personally, I'm happy. I really disliked the guy. He was all smarmy and interfering. And at least now we know what's going on....

Heh.. so'm I, but not much danger of that. As long as I do my work well, and we have money, I have job security.... because my dad's in charge of the firing.
But I am dutiful and do my work, and don't take advantage, so it's not really nepotism.
