Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Sean Astin said at that live appearance I went to that he would like to direct it, with Weta, and that he and Ian McKellan were in cahoots snickering about that idea. New Line has right of first refusal.

Back from Amazing Race. It was pretty cool. I am all done feeling productive and shall now mellow into a nice blue funk. Maybe I will work on squashing my muse.
Interestingly I have become inspired lately, which is giving me some ideas about my muse (she's either fed by too many kids novels or the friend I spent an hour with tonight is secretly my muse)
Or I can only write when I'm depressed. Which would really suck.

I had sirloin stir-fried with peppers, garlic, onion, and hot pepper. Of course there was that double portiion of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream I had when I got home.....

I missed that about Sean Astin... it would be interesting to see if he could do a good job as director on The Hobbit.

Oh well, writing has made me happier tonight, so I guess I won't write anything more. I think the real problem is my enviroment, I just can't write sitting at this desk and listening to the house noises.
Had a long chat with my friend, catching up. Weird how much we have in common. I'd invite her to the Hole sometime, as she's a good Tolkien fan, but she's also English and the Dwarves would freak her out.
