The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hey, only 59 to go, where is everyone? They're gettin' all churched up for the week
I'm baaaaack! Was playing with the lenses and I ran out of film. Sister wants to finish a roll of film but it needs a new battery for the meter (isn't this where I came in?) So after the race I'll run out and get some batteries and film and some cookie-dough ice cream/

I'd say it was a reward for being good, but my halo would probably go up in flames.... ;)

Watching "Aliens" here... hard to be bored when you're being overrun by nasty acid-for-blood aliens...

Yes, I'll avoid the Jesuits, but Catholic education is alright in my book.My b-i-l who is a priest says the same thing!! He had Benedictines in his Seminaries and liked them. The Jebbies have gotten too used to their 'social status' in my opinion, and have 'soft-pedaled' Church teachings for years so as not to make their parishoners or students feel bad about what they want to do. The Kennedy family and schools like Georgetown and Boston College are the prime example of this!

No. The real race in Dover.

Watching "Aliens" here... I still can't watch that whole first movie!! I dont' know what it is about it. Maybe because we saw it first when I was 5 months pregnant with our #1 son. Just about the time that alien burst out of John Hurt's chest, our son did a somersault!! I couldn't take any more; had to leave the theater!! It was several years before I saw the end of the movie! LOL!
I DO love the sequels, though, especially Aliens. I just love the characters in it! I even liked 3 and 4, but I still can't watch #1.

The first one really is creepy... took me a few viewings before I could keep my eyes open for the whole thing. ;)

Well, at least that opportunity for temptation has passed.

The first one really is creepy... Ha! So it isn't just me!!

I had to cut my shopping trip short. Got horse food and flowers, but realized my truck tabs are expired and the place isn't open till tomorrow. Paranoid, I drove home hiding from the cops like a criminal.
