Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Morning Hole Dwellers!
Breakfast is ready...
I've made some waffles, though I'm sure they aren't as good as Steve's are! LOL! There's maple syrup, or if you are so inclined, strawberry or blueberry preserves to go with them. The whipped cream and powdered sugar are in the fridge. 8 platters of bacon and sausage and OT's hash browns are on the hot plate with some home fries. Coffee is strong and freshly brewed and there's assorted juices in the cooler. ENJOY!
Hair - I love the beach house! I wish I were there now, instead of at this desk. :(
Corin...ALWAYS lok in the oven behind the casserole dish when others claim there is no bacon left. *wink*
I'm in with the henna tatoos and I like the "Hobbit Hole Dweller" saying that 2J posted. Don't know about the Elvish writing though. Will it make me fruity?
SuziQ - prayers for your friend. How heartbreaking! But remember, the Lord can do ANYTHING! :)

caravanin' sounds like a plan, as long as I'm drivin'... if there's a good deal, I may fly, but the chances of that are awful slim....
henna tats sound interestin'... we gonna come up with a common design?... I'm in... aslong as there's an axe in the tat... we need to discuss placement too...

You know what's bad? Woodpeckers are bad. Being woken at 6 on a sleep-in morning by a woodpecker banging on the wall outside the window is bad. Is there something to kill woodpeckers? They're worse than squirrels, I swear they are!Used to be a woodpecker that hung our "neighborhood" when I was about thirteen. (Not really a neighborhood as the houses are far apart, but our road, anyway.) It would bang on drainpipes at about five every morning, starting at one house and moving on to the next and the next. You never heard such a racket!
Finally the grownups had a little discussion and decided he had to go. Our next door neighbor is an ex-Marine and a sharpshooter...he came up next morning with a .22. Took one shot.
Ah...peace and quiet!
