Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Evenin' everyone! I'm only on for a moment, but I wanted to ask if anyone else is having trouble accessing the smiley website Hair provided.
I can get to the site itself, but after I choose what kind of smiley I want (Happy, Angry, etc) it says "Action Canceled". Weird!

G'nad: In the words of Gandalf, "Just tea, please." I am lifting an iced one to you and yours. Cheers.

It appears to be down. Probably remodeling.... Maybe putting some new friends on there!
The pics are still live, just not the interface, many of these are from there (The one that doesn't work is from Penny's dead site)

Thanks, Hair.
I've got run. Glen is waiting to watch the movie, XXX (I can't stand typing that..LOL) with me.

I just had a really nice bowl of Moose Tracks ice cream. And better yet, it was ON my diet! Yes, they're finally making ice cream with Splenda, which is probably the best sugar replacement out there. And man, was it good... at 8 carbs per 1/2 cup, I could have eaten half a carton!

I leave in about 30 minutes to go have a nice dinner cooked by a real family! - I am kindof excited. Gonna be bringing back their dog to pet-sit for the weekend.
To: HairOfTheDog
Are their dogs going to get to watch The Movie with Gidget?
To: HairOfTheDog
Cool! Don't mention us, you'll only frighten them. Enjoy your meal!
By the way, when we have EntMoot, some of us should take turns cooking. I'm not the best cook but I have tons of experience cooking for a crowd.

Just one dog.... And he will probably be confused by her odd behavior. He is an old Labrador, a year younger than Logan... And he is a walking pharmacy.... not even sure what pill treats what, I just give the pills on the schedule.

I leave in about 30 minutes to go have a nice dinner cooked by a real family!WOW. Someday you will have to awe them with HOTD special. I made my special bean soup today. It's a bit spicy. Has lots of kinds of beans and rice it it. Tomatoes, onions and peppers too.

By the way, when we have EntMoot, some of us should take turns cooking. I'm not the best cook but I have tons of experience cooking for a crowd. That's what we were thinking. Ruthy of course wants to cook as do I. And 2J seems to really be into breakfasts. So, we were talking about not having the same person or people in there to cook all the time and kind of have shifts. That way we could each have turns enjoying kicking back and enjoying the company. Sound good to you?

To: Wneighbor
Us dwarves will sit around and enjoy the pipeweed...
To: Corin Stormhands
What about the ripe/red meat off the bone?
To: Wneighbor
Yes! I'm sure no one wants to cook every time. And there has to be a rule that those who do not cook have to clean the pots afterwards!
I'll be glad to fix a meal or two. Of course, if we're cooking, we'll have to go to the grocery store...
Florida will never know what hit 'em.

OK - I am out of her for a few hours! - Have a nice night everyone!
To: JenB
How do you handle a hungry hobbit?
To: Overtaxed
Well that too. I was just implyin' that we'd be just as happy not to cook.
(although g'nad runs a mean grill...)
