Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I just don't understand why they don't come clean with me, if they aren't going to do what they said. I even asked him "Should I just give up on this?" and he said "No, check back tomorrow!"

Just keep checking back. I suspect they'll order them when they figure out you're serious. It could be like you said - they might not have expected you back. Just because the Hobbit Hole knows you'll follow through doesn't mean Mutt and Jeff know you will be back to get them.

And Smeagol gets that egg every day! LOL That's too much. I think it's great.

no no no Smeagol's not as spoiled as Smeagol wants to be. She only gets eggses about every 2 to 3 days. But, she likes it when I am off work. She get's lots more yummy food. Today she got several slices of deli cheese and turkey.

But this weekend, we were seeing my Grama and Smeagol got a whole big meaty rib all her own along with the leftover bones from everybody else's ribs. She thought she was in Precious heaven.

I met my first live freeper today:), there really is such a thing:) (thank goodness she forgot her camera, I hate pictures:).

Met her children also, I love homeschooled kids. I have yet to meet a homeschooled kid who hangs back behind mom being bashful. It's so nice to talk to one and they actually look you in the face and talk back politely, and are not backward, and shook hands too:)

I think Mack is right about that you can order just 2. I was reading the book at stop lights and what you were reading, said: Minimum number of birds that can be shipped SAFELY They will ship less but for some reason, maybe because the boxs are always for 100, divided into quarters they may not be as safe. Lots of room to be tossed about.

In TTT the Ents meet (very lengthily) to decide what to do about Saruman after they are told about his misdeeds. This meeting was the Entmoot.

I thought Entmoot was a castle you all were meeting at in Sept. in Florida

We have decided that whenever two or more HH types meet, it is a moot. The meeting in Florida will be right after TROTK is released, so it will be possible to see all three movies in sequence, two on videos, and one in the theatre. It is possible that some enterprising theatre owners will show the first two movies in addition to TROTK, which will be an excellent Tolkien/PJ fix for everyone!

The Hobbit is a children's book, which is a prequel to TLOTR. TLOTR is one novel, usually published as 3 books. It is about the end of the Third Age of Middle Earth. The Silmarillon takes place in a much earlier time, First Age, I think.

I stop short of shooting the cat that crosses the street daily to poop in my flowerbed...but I resent it immensely and don't speak to those neighbors because of it.

There are cat repellents out there containing nasty stuff like nicotine and dried cattle blood. You sprinkle in your flowerbeds, and it offends the cat's delicate sensibilities, and picks some other place to honor with its potty visit.

Special Forces carry powdered CS, and sprinkle it in with buried trash to discourage critters from pawing in their garbage, and giving the troops away. You'd probably have a hard time finding powdered CS tear gas.
