Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I like this rescue crew!
Funny thing, as I was sitting and enduring that kid, I kept thinking, "God I wish I had a dwarf here with me who would take care of this."
Now, before I was an HHD, I don't think that's exactly how I'd o' thunk it.

Just to make you laugh:
A thief burst into a Florida bank one day wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun. Aiming his gun at the guard, he thief yelled, "FREEZE, MOTHER-STICKERS, THIS IS A ****-UP!" For a moment, everyone was silent.
Then the snickers started. The guard completely lost it and doubled over laughing. It probably saved his life, because he'd been about to draw his gun. He couldn't have drawn and fired before the thief got him. The thief ran away and is still at large. In memory of the event, the banker later put a plaque on the wall engraved with the words, "Freeze, mother-stickers, this is a ****-up!"

I don't really hang out with him
that much. :)
I thought I'd try his hard cola....a little on the sweet side, but not bad.
To: Wneighbor
Of course, *I'm* in a tizzy over the Prince of Halflings...who appears to be upset...
...I should go rescue *him*...

Darlin' - I would not be able to survive a 3-D Orlando. I'm laughing out loud alone in my house.
I promise I could survive.
Now whether the live guy could survive or not..........????? He's an adventure lover, he ought to come see. OH OH, did I really say that??? Now, I'll have to tell my accountablity partner who will laugh and tell me I need to find a husband again.
To: Wneighbor
He bungee jumps and stuff.
Give me strength.

Woo-woo! Faramir swoon time!
I've been relaxing all evening... Saturday tomorrow, thank goodness, a nice relaxing break from all this...
By the way, it seems like you never post Aragorn. Intentional? Or just coincidence?

I used to keep him in the fridge. Hiding out you know. And just take straight shots occasionally. Medicinal purposes you know.

I'm prejudiced in favor of Pittsburgh but really, we have some of the loveliest views. With the trees and hills everywhere, and the rivers, everything's all helter-skelter. It stays contained within the valleys, so we'll never have urban sprawl the way some places do. And the view of the skyline, driving in from the airport at sunset, is absolutely breathtaking.
I think motorcycles are really cool and if I go to grad school somewhere warm and winterless, I might consider getting a bike instead of a car. Otherwise I'll have to wait until I'm independently wealthy.

I used to keep him in the fridge. Hiding out you know. You didn't "put him in the pantry with your cupcakes"? Hee, Hee. Oldies reference!
To: HairOfTheDog
This is MY ELF. Don't touch.
You can have Elrond. Or Haldir... No Haldir is mine too.

I've been caught! I guess its subconscious...I was serious when I said I couldnt believe Viggo as Aragorn anymore after that silliness he pulled. You see, I was so happy with him in FOTR, cause I had misgivings about the CHARACTER of Aragorn anyway...Viggo seemed to pull it altogether...I guess he still does...
oh but there's something about David Wenham that stirs me...so, I guess the ultimate answer is : "Aragorn WHO??"

I think I am gonna go have to watch a movie and settle down.
To: Alkhin
Oh no, it is quite amusing! - I won't set you straight.
It is hard to pick just one from such an extraordinary cast.

Orlando rocks my world, but my heart belongs to Frodo.
To: HairOfTheDog
Are you gonna watch the fellowship???
No, not a good idea, The police would show up, on weird behavior calls for all the screaming and muttering my neighbors would hear.
