The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Do you want us to tell you how to find home-pages, or would you like to investigate this for yourself?

do ya mind tellin' me? You know, I have learned an aweful lot this week though already! and they say old dogs can't learn new tricks.

Click on anyone's name to get to a profile page, and there is a box up in the corner where you can type in the name of another page you want to go to.

I have a sort of open question/comment based on the reports about the ending of ROTK. Should that be here, or in the spoiler thread -- and if the latter, would you pls. remind me of the link?

Thanks!

Dreary is part of cyberpunk

Cyberpunk is too....dreary. When I want dreary I'll watch network news. :)

I was into it when he got to .....where ever Elrond was. Then commercials happened and I started multitasking and never really got back into the story after that.

....and I don't like rock music. I'd rather listen to a garbage disposer chew up glass.

ME TOO!!!

The kind that makes you not want to sit still!

but then, most of the time I like the quiet with no noise and only wind. the wind is blowing nicely this morning after a long rainstorm last night.

What do ya'll think? I'm exhausted. I got dehydrated yesterday and am still pumping in fluids. I'm sunburned. Some body parts are protested due to overuse in the last could of days. (knees, feet, vocal chords) I think I ought to treat myself to some cookies! I just thought of that, exhaustion must have zapped me more than I thought.

Actually, I do like some...not a lot of the newer stuff, but older stuff, sure.

And I like bluegrass and old time!

I think OTs musical tastes are more upscale than mine... ;-)

Love it, so long as I have a partner who can lead a good swing.

I have never danced with a guy that knew how to lead in the swing, so I don't know how to follow.
