The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

What is a good age to leave kids alone at home briefly? Do you have a cell phone? It might make him more secure if he could call you. You know, like to find out where the X-Men DVD is and stuff...

Do you have a cell phone? It might make him more secure if he could call you. You know, like to find out where the X-Men DVD is and stuff... I got so ticked at Myranda (momentarily) yesterday afternoon. I got a 2-fer deal on the cell phone so we could both have one and I could keep up with her. She gets a lot of independance she wouldn't otherwise have because I have that leash. However, we don't have an overly large amount of minutes so that we CAN have 2 phones. Yesterday, when I went to Wal Mart to get the plants, all she wanted was a pair of tweezers. And she lost herself in the freakin' WalMart for over an hour. I waited and waited and *shudder* even tried to call her cell-to-cell within the WalMart. But, she didn't answer because I was in the same store and that would be a waste of minutes! ARGH

Now that's a cool lunchbox! It even looks metal not plastic! could that really be?
To: Wneighbor
Could be....
To: g'nad
Thinking about you, but mostly the missus and the new
dwarfling this morning g'nad!
Check in when you can!
To: ksen
The check from me and Ramius should be arriving now ksen!

Good morning everyone!
Today's is Bear's birthday and it appears that the new baby g'nad will be sharing the day! YIPPEE!!
Let's keep Mrs. g'nad in our prayers today with faith that all will go well and that labor will be quick (and painless if she goes with the epidural!). DO we know what she is having? (Besides a Dwarfling?)
Breakfast is ready folkses!
Scrambled eggs and bacon strips (7 platters worth), I've grilled some Polish sausage and cut it up in large chunks, so help yourself. The hash browns and home fries are on the hot plate. Buttermilk biscuits and bluberry muffins are in the covered basket on the table. Coffee is strong and black as tar, so you're advised to be heavy with the cream if you like it light as I do. Orange juice is in the fridge. ENJOY!
And, of course...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAR!

My back is gone. Went to chirapractor... hurt, hurt, hurt.
Oh, well! This isn't the first time, won't be the last.
Last night, flipping through channels, watched 10 minutes of X-men... I will have to rent it. It looked good.
Hugh Jackman was unrecognizable as Wolverine... when compared to Kate and Leopold. Which I liked.
I also rented "The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain." It was very charming.
Studied math this weekend... and arabic... learned a new way to form a verb. I can now say: I am reading, he is reading, she is reading, and we are reading... (plus various other verbs)
Anyway, back to work and pain.

Your back is gone? - egads! - What is your head connected to?
Sorry you have back pain.... hope it gets better soon.
To: carton253
Sorry to hear about your back, carton. I know all too well how it feels. :(
Heat and massage pads are the best for it! The ones they sell to go into a chair are wonderful and you can lay them flat on your bed so you can lay down right on top of them and close your eyes.
I haven't had an adjustment in years and need one desperately, but I never make the appointment. I'm great at keeping on top of my kids' appointments, but terrible at taking care of myself medically.

I don't get to use the heating pad... mine is ice... I sleep on ice packs...
The Bootsman (my cat) made sure he stayed close last night... he gets worried when I don't feel good.
I wish I could say that it was compassion, but it's not... If I'm sick, who will feed him...
So, he hopes cuddling makes me better.
Scout (the younger cat) cuddles with Mr. Boot. So, we were quite smashed on the couch.
I sleep on the couch when my back is bothering me, because I have less pain than when I sleep on my bed.

No, but I know, writing, drinking, eating, climbing, sitting, walking, running...
Saturday, I learned the 5 senses...
The sentence in arabic reads, eyes we see by it.
In English, it is: we see by our eyes.
