The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I confess! I chuckled! - I thought it might be among the first things a guy might do if he suddenly had the power!

My kids are already picking out who they want to dress up as for when we go see RoTK. Tell us. Please.
To: JameRetief
Whoops, sorry Jame! I forgot to look for a Daily Tolkien to post today. I'm looking forward to the Valaquenta tomorrow though.

I loved John Denver! - Aye Calipso! The places you've been to!

Girl #1 - Galadriel (I feel sorry for her future husband)
Boy #1 - doesn't know yet (probably Legolas, but he'll have to fight his brother for that one)
Boy #2 - Legolas

My kids are already picking out who they want to dress up as for when we go see RoTK. ;^) That reminds me, when we saw TTT the second time, we followed a woman in a brown cape out of the theater...
To: ksen
AHHH!! I love it!
I suppose there just aren't a lot of Celeborn's out there are there? But, she'll definitely exude confidence. :D
As for the boys... if they are in schools at all like my daughter's school, they'll have little girls all aflitter if they dress as Legolas. Surely, there are enough girls that BOTH of them can do Legolas.

You should see Glen when I say that I am dressing up for Entmoot! LOL! I think he's afraid of the "cult" thing too, but since he's read the books, he's become quite addicted. He's been to see TTT all three times I've gone and has admitted to looking forward to the next time we see it. *grin* (He has been taken, he just doesn't know it.)
I am a Hobbit, thus I will dress accordingly- but I will be wearing Evenstar and Nenya. What a mix! I'll be Ruthy the Thieving Hobbit, Scourge of the Shire and Middle-Earth, stealing jewels from the Elves. Heheheeee...
To: RMDupree
At least that thief Baggins only hit trolls, gollumses and dragons!
To: Wneighbor
The only girl at my boys' school is their sister since they are homeschooled. ;^)

But I just
had to take these things from the Elves. They needed to be taken down a peg or two. :)
Uh oh, here comes Galadriel. She's got a nasty temper and will drown me in that Mirror of hers if she catches me wearing her Ring.
To: ksen
Well, I kind of figured you had younger kids than me anyway. My baby is a senior. And all those little high school sweeties think Legolas is "the man." Or "the elf" or whatever. We get lots of sighs and swooney noises around here when we watch FoTR.
You will have to take photos and share with us at Entmoot. Or, let us see the dress-up in person.
To: RMDupree
I don't know about Galadriel but my little Arwen just walked in my front door.
To: RMDupree
Wonder if Galadriel polishes her own silverware.
To: Wneighbor
Shhhhh! Don't tell her that I "borrowed" Evenstar, ok? :)
To: Overtaxed
Mithril doesn't tarnish!
To: Corin Stormhands
Yup, I witnessed a killin' over in the religion forum...Yeah, but did they NEED killin?

Ok, here is the deal. I would love to go, but you guys have to pray and hope really hard that I have $$$ to make it there by next year. Bring my kiddos, they will love Florida.
To: 2Jedismom
The elves stole mithril from the dwarves?
To: Overtaxed
I have it on good authority that Celeborn does that chore, along with pretty much everything else around their place. :)
