Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

but what do you do to ensure that the dog knows you are the top dog? Obedience training. Rules and follow through...
Hullo! - Back from the road trip. Weather turned nasty :~(

Why Mr. Frodo of course! He was quite happy to get out of his box and get some dinner. He arrived in excellent condition and endured curious sniffs from my cats. I'll take some pics as soon as I vaccum and then he and I will discuss where to begin our adventure... WOO HOO! - Glad he arrived safe!

Aren't I amazing? I answered your questions before you even typed them. ;)

WHOO HOOO!!! Frodo has made it to the first tavern!!!!! Yippeee Well, I wouldn't call our place a tavern, per se. I'll brave the scorn and admit we don't keep alcohol in the house, but Frodo has a nice bed with fresh sheets and lots and lots of homemade food. He'll be quite comfortable during his stay.

This is amazing.

I didn't believe it, so I actually copied the pic and copy-pasted a swatch of B right on top of A. They are the exact same shade.

Back from the game. We losted. They cheatses us!
Actually, our boys were outplayed. But their coach pulled an underhanded trick.
We had the bases loaded. Two outs. He calls time out and pulls the entire team to the pitcher's mound. Then when he's off the field and calls time in, the short stop gets our runner out at second. He had carried the ball from the pitcher's mound.
It's an illegal play. But because their coach had negotiated a "no balk" game, the umpire allowed it.
They could have beaten us without it.

You aren't qualified. The most I've ever lost in a casino was $300...

This song makes no sense....
I Am The Walrus
(By Lennon/McCartney)
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together
See how we run like pigs from a gun, see how we fly
I'm crying
Sitting on a cornflake, I'm waiting for the van to come
Corporation t-shirts, stupid bloody Tuesday
Man, you've been a naughty boy
You let you face grow long
I am the egg man
We are the egg men
I am the walrus
Coo coo ca choo
Mister city policeman sitting
Pretty little policeman in a row
See how they fly like Lucy in the sky, see how we run
I'm crying
I'm cry'
I'm crying
I'm cry'
Yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess
Man you've been a naughty girl
You let your knickers down
I am the egg man
We are the egg men
I am the walrus
Coo coo ca choo, coo coo coo ca choo
Sitting in an english garden, waiting for the sun
If the sun don't come you get your tan
From standing in the english rain
Cos I am the eggman
We are the eggman
And I am the walrus
Coo coo ca choo, ca coo coo ca choo
Expert textpert choking smokers
Don't you think the joker laughs at you?
See how they smile like pigs in a sty
See how they snide
I'm crying
Semolina pilchards climbing up the Eiffel tower
Elementary penguin singing hare krishna
Man you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allen Poe
I am the eggman
We are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Coo coo ca choo, ca coo coo ca choo
Coo coo ca choo, ca coo coo ca choo coo coo
Tu-tu-tu baw, tu-tu-tu baw, tu-tu-tu baw, tu-tu-tu baw, tu-tu-tu baw

This may seem like a dumb question, but what do you do to ensure that the dog knows you are the top dog?Well, like I said, she's Marl's dog, and Marl had her about six months before I went out there again. During that time, she and Wyn went to some doggie discipline classes. Wyn was crate trained, and spends most of her time indoors in her crate. That's the only way the house cats will come out from hiding. The dog really likes the cats, but with a 10x size differential, the cats aren't quite convinced of that.
Wyn's ongoing discipline problem is knocking people over while bouncing up to greet them. The "bouncing" gets Wyn yelled at, while a collision gets Wyn a swat on the snout, always from Marl, the sole enforcer of discipline in that pack.

This song makes no senseThat's what happens when you write songs while high on LSD.
