Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, I thought about posting again and suggesting that we had a witch queen instead of a witch king. But, you may be right, Sauron. or the Balrog. That one sleepy photo in the Senate looked a lot like a Balrog.

It seems that flights are cheaper if you fly on Tues. Wed, and Thurs. It's also less hassle....I've been in Logan Airport on Sunday afternoon. :)

I messed up a ligament in my foot the other day, so have to stop jogging 'til it's better. This means I'll have to be more careful about diet, I guess. What an un hobbit like thing to say. Maybe I can still do sit ups and push ups though.

Good morning! 6:30am here. I couldn't sleep for some reason...happens now and then.
Tonight is Steve's last day of school. He should even be home fairly early...I want to clean up the house a bit and have a nice supper on the table to celebrate.

Well, yesterday, I got my math test back. I've been worried about having to do math. The reason I am even sitting in the dreaded class is because of social statistics.
He had the tests on his desk. Just look through and pull yours out. I looked at the grades... 60 through 80's. My heart sank.
Where is my test. I don't see it. Someone got a 15. Please don't make that mine.
Finally, towards the bottom, I see my name. Pull the test out of the pile.
It's an A+. I didn't miss one.
I look at the name again. Yep, it's mine.
Goodness, I want to do a dance of joy.
It's been a long time since I've had any sucess in math... and I got an A+.
What makes that good news is that I got an A+ on my last quiz, and I believe an A+ on this last quiz..
Smeagol is doing math!!!!

Love the action photos of the horses! (Horse and pony? Can I say horses?) You're right, though...Bay doesn't look like he's getting over that jump very gracefully. ;-) What a pretty little jumper the pony is, though!
