The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Yeah, I'm having pizza! Other than that... no, but I'm going out Sunday after church.

See ya!
One of my lawnmowers quit. Won't work. Wants to be put in the barn.

This one was working fine... mowing out back!

Well-dressed for an evening out dining, I see!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
LOL! - That blanket does look rather like a dress on that pony... it is huge on her... But smallest one they made of that kind, and it's the best!

Heh, I like the way Bay is waiting for you to "open the door" for him... almost looks like he could be tapping one hoof impatiently!
Rose and I are watching "Manor House" on PBS... quite fascinating how difficult life was 100 years ago.

Hair; great tribute piece to some fine companions, shnurgf, nothing quite like those to bring on a touch of my "allergies" shnrugf.
To: osagebowman
It is the allergy time of year... Mine [snif] sure have been acting up [snif] lately!
Did anyone figure out the mistake I made on the size of the frame? I finally realized it later. I had a major brain cloud.
I printed those tribute pages on a full sheet of photo paper. In my mind, full-sheet photos are 8x10. (figured it out how I goofed yet?).
Well, photo paper isn't 8x10, it is 8.5x11! Which should have been obvious to me from the fact that is the same flippin' size as a FLIPPIN' PIECE OF PAPER!
Sigh. What an airhead.

Sigh. What an airhead. Hate it when that happens.
I think I'm one today too though. I've been in such a hurry just to check in every few hours and I find almost every post I did some typo or funkle or something dumb.
But, that wasn't the worst. In class tonight, I was lecturing on designing enclosures for electrical boards and components. (i know, exciting) It seemed like every time I went to say "enclosure" I said "composure" and when I tried to say "components" I said, "correspondence." ARGH!!!!
To: HairOfTheDog
Despite the initial mistake, I think both "tributes" looked very well done. What did the vet's office think of them?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
The techs seemed to like them! Will know on Friday where they hung them. Gidget is going in for her shots, and to see why she has an itchy butt.

The professor was a wacky liberal-catholic lesbian - Good grief! Why are they always the ones teaching religion?

BTW, congrats on the 'A'!

To: HairOfTheDog
That is so sweet, Hair. I love that you added that picture of Logan and Zulu a couple of days before he went. It was such a cute picture. That little poem brought tears to my eyes, and I haven't had a doggie for years!
To: SuziQ
Thanks.... I felt good making it for them!
