Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Oh, I won that set from ebay the other day...once I get it from Mags, I'll send it on to my friend in Iraq. I'm thinking of sending him Star Kindler and my friend's CD...the one that I went to his CD party a while back...

I didn't even notice that his neck was stiff from them yesterday, and this morning when I poured his grain in his pan on the ground, he just stood over it with his head hovering about a foot above it. He couldn't get his head down! I was going to suggest some industrial-strength horse linament, but it sounds like Bay is starting to loosen up.

He did loosen up! I was able to return him to lawn mower duty. Just took this:

Yep, Billy plays Barret Bonden, a coxswain, which he has said in interviews is quite different from the Pippin role...very much a sailor with sea-legs. I am not sure, but I think he will retain the Scottish accent. He doesnt show up much in M&C...but he is supposed to have an increasingly important part in the O'Brien series. I left my copy of Far Side of the World out in the rain, and it was ruined, and have not replaced it yet.
Barret Bonden, coxswain and captain of the maintop, was unusually young for his post; a fine open-looking creature, tough without brutality, cheerful, perfectly in his place and, of course, a prime seaman - bred to the sea from childhood.
I'm not sure if further speech from this character indicates he is Scottish...???
"...there's my Aunt Sloper's George - George Lucock, fortopman, larboard watch. He's a right scholar, can write so small you can scarcely see it; younger nor I am, and more soople, sir, oh far more soople."
as for the awful horrible link...IM SORRY :< :< :<!! I didnt realize it was connected to that site.

No apology necessary! - I am sure it was a surprise! - The quiz seemed legit... still not sure how it was connected to that popup.

I finished Priority One of Operation Lumberjack. I still have a lot of junky branches down farther back in the woods. I have a largish maple tree leaning over with some roots exposed...if it falls it will only hit other trees...and another leaner that would hit the fence if it goes. I wonder if the Woodland Elves ever had this problem?

Yep, still have your snail mail addy. I'll send it in a couple of weeks. This week's bulletin is already in the can, so I'll have to wait until next week's.

The funniest thing just happened at our house! I told y'all I had the "Concerning Hobbits" theme music on our answering machine. Well a few minutes ago, the phone rang while we were finishing up supper. We waited to see if it was somebody we knew or a dreaded telemarketer. There was no sound at first, so we thought it was one of 'those guys' when we hear a voice that says "A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, neither is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to!" We all looked at each other and just started howling! When I picked up the phone it was one of our oldest son's friends who knew he was going to be home this weekend. I told him the story about the stupid chick whose day I ruined with the phone message a couple of weeks ago. He thought that was hilarious!

Oh, that's so funny!
I got my hair done. It's... very red. I had a long day at work. Tonight is boring.
That's all. I guess I'm boring too.

I have been living on caffeine and fake chocolate. I am very tired. Live will get better someday in the far future. Right now I'm looking forward to my birthday next week because I get pizza.
